A melt in your mouth experience..!

Do you know what? I ended up making a beautiful cake. Please note not only delirious but beautiful.
Well, the occasion was my in laws anniversary, waking up the dormant baker inside me. To everyone's surprise it turned out to be an amazing and fabulous gateau. Now, I am not able to hold the level of excitement and eagerness in sharing the recipe inside me.
First and foremost, it was a quintessential dark chocolate cake, apt for every occasion. All covered in rich cream icing and white chocolate ganache, decorated with roses, buttercream, choc and cigar rolls. One can never have enough of it.....ummm.........yummm!!!!!
So, to start with-
Dark chocolate cake recipe
Ingredients -
- 1.5 cup all purpose flour
- 1/3 + 1 tbsp cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup refrigerated water
- 1 and 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/4 cup soda water
- a small 6-7" tin- line bottom with paper and grease paper and sides
Procedure-
- Sift flour + baking soda + cocoa + powdered sugar in a bowl and keep aside.
- Put cold water , oil, vinegar and vanilla essence in a large mixing bowl.
- Add flour mix in 2-3 batches and fold gently with a wooden spoon each time. Do not over mix.
- Add soda water in the batter and mix quickly.Transfer the same into the prepared tin. Bake at 170 degree Celsius for 40 mins.
- To serve, wrap the cake in white whipped cream. Pour an amount of ganache over the iced cake and decorate it with mascarpone roses and other stuff.
